What would your questions be? |

I know that Keith started off making guitars and then migrated to basses. Since Roscoe no longer fabricates guitars, and Roscoe is known for building some of the finest basses in the world, why not change the name to "Roscoe Basses"?
Corporation/LLC costs? |

According to Gard, Keith is a geetar picker. So who's guitars does he play? (Or does he fabricate his own guitars out of "Gard Routed" basses?) .
My bet is Keith has some geetar stuff in the works and he's keeping mum.
If you guys 'member, there's a thread floating around here with an LG "skinny six" photo'd. Roscoeheads ain't 'sposed to have good memories though.
God Bless, Ray

I'll answer for him as best I can for now:
Bill, yes, Keith did build actual humidors for several years, it's where he first discovered Spanish cedar and decided to try it for building basses & guitars.
Joe, we kept the "Guitars" part for two reasons. First, they ARE bass GUITARS; second, we have always intended to go back into building guitars, which we are in the process of now - matter of fact we just completed and shipped the first "Roscoe GUITAR" in over 10 years just a week ago.
Scott, that's an easy answer: the one we get paid for. Oh, OK...the "formula" bass for us: Ex. quilt maple top, Spanish cedar body, whatever finish, Bart/Bart electronics, spalted purpleheart fingerboard.

God Bless, Ray | He has an older Roscoe that he built for an electric, and a very nice Gibson acoustic.
Frankly, I wish he'd play more than he does, he really is an excellent guitarist.

Both very much parts of that "classic Roscoe sound/look"

Gard - Danny wants one. Seriously. Send me pics of any bodies you have laying around partially completed. We'll spec it out the way he'd want it, and worst case we'll hang it for sale if it's not for him. |

Andre
p.s. I don't mean to intrude into some secret bass/guitar making technique. If so I'll accept "top secret" as an answer.

** EDIT - And if it's not there when the picture is taken, it will be there soon enough... |

| | Well, Ahoy Paloi | | Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: Cape Cod, MA | | | Bartolini pickups in the guitar? I think of Bass when I see Barts, but apparently jazz guitars like em' too. Maybe they aren't marketed as well but seems different. Cool, just different.
