34" vs. 35" in Roscoe Basses

I know this has been discussed to death around TB, but I'm wondering how 34"-scale Roscoe 5s measure up to 35"-scale.

My experience tells me that 35"-scale makes for a better 5-string, but for comfort reasons, I would compromise and choose a 34".

I've had 34" 5s with good B strings (Sadowsky comes to mind) and 34" 5s with terrible B strings (SR5, IMHO, Smith, etc.)

So, for those who have tried both, do Roscoe 34"-scale 5s have decent B strings? I know there is a reason why Roscoes are 35"-scale standard, and 34" is a special order.

I don't think you lose that much (if anything!) tonally on our bass with the 34". I prefer it for the feel issue, the B just feels better to my hands on the 35".
