5257 is mine

So I stumbled across LG 3005 #5257 and picked it up... I'm rather excited for my first Roscoe Thuya burl top, ash body, cherry center, Bart/Bart, cherry neck laminates - a looker for sure. For now, here are some stolen pics:

Really looking forward to hearing this bad boy through my Genz rig

Dude! That's hot as hell, congrats, I hope you love it!

EDIT: Seeing as you play a Thumb, the short-ish LG upper horn should be no issue for you.

Man I like that Thuya top. Congrats and welcome to the asylum and addiction that is being a Roscoehead.

Sweet LG.

God Bless, Ray

And so it begins...

Congrats on the nice grab, Brian! Looks like a super bass!

Should I start a spec sheet for your fretless?!? Maybe a 6 string, too?!?

Thanks for the kind words After hearing so many fantastic clips and eyballing some gorgeous handiwork, the time and deal were right to give one a shot. My only concern is my severe love of concave-body basses, which is certainly no fault of the instrument but has already claimed my otherwise-incredible Dingwall. Being a smaller body a la my Thumb (thanks again Greg! ), I'm keeping an open mind about it.

Sweet good lord, my gear/talent ratio is already ludicrously out of whack... the bass gods might just smite me for this purchase

Thank you sir! Apparently it's bolivian rosewood, which I always thought was another name for pau ferro... apparently, I thought wrong

Hey Gard - what's the difference?

I'm not Gard, but I play one on TB.

Bolivian Rosewood comes from the place Mike Tyson "faded into" after Lennox Lewis made Tyson call him his new Muslim Name "Pau Ferro X".

ROFL!!!! You are "da bomb", Ray!

BTW- Nice bass, my good man. Enjoy every delicious note. I play in church 3 times a week and heard my bass on some recordings (for the first time) at our annual meetings we had last week and was AMAZED. I truly can say, ever since I found Roscoe basses I'm not even interested in trying other fine instruments...I've found MY feel, MY tone. Period.

...I've also learned to tolerate Gard and find an appreciation for him that otherwise might not've blossomed.

...who loves ya, baby?

I have not yet received it - currently in-transit. Scheduled to be in my hands on Friday and, naturally, I'm going out of town for the weekend, but I'm planning on spending some quality time with the rig that evening. Very interested in hearing this in direct comparison with my other basses.

It's Friday, tell your boss I said it's OK for you to take the rest of the day off so you can play your new bass.

Did you put the emergency "boss beer" in the box for the negotiations?
