{Arm raised and waving maniacally, Teacher out of the classroom, "ooh ooh; I know, I know!!"}

It's older than my #6244 and newer than my #4895, made of wood and metal bits...

(kidding, and curious about Gard's response)

Here's the specs on that one, scuba:

LG 3005
Flame Redwood top
Swamp Ash body
Natural Gloss finish
Bartolini 3-band preamp
Bartolini/Roscoe pickups
3-piece Maple/Purpleheart/Maple neck
Maple fingerboard
Graphite nut
Black hardware
Case

It was finished in March of 2006, and originally sold to Bass Specialties in Philadelphia, PA.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help out with!

Hey Gard, is that purely cosmetic or does it serve a sonic purpose?

Completely a cosmetic idea, something the guys thought would look cool. Not an "everyday" thing, but a "why not try it" type of thing. It is a similar idea to when we put the thicker piece of wenge between the top and back.
