#5705 is back home...

A couple of years ago I had the boys at Roscoe build me a dream 6'er. Because I'm an idiot, I sold it. I realized that I got rid of that bass without giving it a fair shot, partly because I didn't know enough about basses back then to really know what I was doing.

Lucky for me I got it back in a trade. It sounds great (although I think I'm more of a fan of the traditional Roscoe bart/bart setup) and looks beautiful. I have to say that the fit and finish on this bass is impeccable including the neck pocket which is tighter than any other bass I've seen. I also have to say that the Roscoe wenge wedge neck is one of the most beautiful sights to behold in all of bass-land. Way to go guys. Hopefully circumstances will allow me to keep this one a lot longer than before.

Specs:
* Ash body
* Spalted Flame Maple Burl Top
* Wenge Wedge neck (wenge/yellowheart/maple/yellowheart/wenge)
* Maple board
* Nord DC's
* Aggie OBP3
* Switch for series/parallel (Right, Gard?)

I'm going to see VroomVroom next week...hopefully we can record some soundclips and get 'em posted.

In the meanwhile, here's some eye candy:

Ha! LOL...

All I can say is that whenever I saw this bass in the banner ads here on Talkbass I would kick myself.

Seriously, it's good to have you back in the family dude, and I'm doubly pleased that you got your old bass back, that was one stunning and beautiful instrument, in every way.

Just freakin' SLURP. (And, for my man Greg.....yep, I do need another diaper change. )

Tony, I am so happy for you - this instrument is an absolute stunner, and I can't stop gawking at it. But....enough about you, let's talk about me. I cannot wait to see this thing in the flesh next week! And we will most definitely be recording it...great hooglie mooglie, this thing is beautiful. CONGRATULATIONS!

Bass hang w/ Tony next week, where three Roscoe SKB sixers will be heavily played...PRICELESS.

Dude that's great you got your bass back!! While I've never experienced that feeling, I can easily guess how it feels and that's righteous that you got it back! Congrats bro!

Thanks, guys. It's good to be back as a Roscoe owner. I played it last night and then just stared at it. Beautiful work.

Haha congrats Tony! It's funny... you lose one, you gain one. I let go of my Roscoe to get the Alleva, and you go and get a Roscoe lol. My next bass goal was going to be to get a Roscoe 6er or Skjold 6er.

Wow! Gorgeous bass! It might've even been me that soiled Jerry's diaper. Not bad from 3000 miles away, eh?
