But my friendly local UPS driver just delivered a nearly new SKB-3005, sn 5750, that I purchased from a fellow TB'er on the forum: FS: Roscoe SKB 3005
Thanks, Rob!
It is a beauty - as close to new as a used bass can be. I am truely stoked! Now, I just have to get used to playing a fiver again. It is WAY different than my trusty old Jazz Bass that I have been playing for the last few years.
It's great to be back in the Roscoe corner!

That's a good one to get back in the family with too, I have always really dug the solid ash ones - that one was strongly influenced by my personal fretted bass, as a matter of fact.
Glad to see Rob's bass (Rob, I owe you a call!) in good hands, and back close to home as well!

I took it to it's first band practice tonight and it was major hit with everyone. It sounded so good when I hit the right notes the I was forgiven for the times I grabbed the B-string by mistake! I only had about 20 minutes to play along with my recording of our songs at home before hand, so my fingers kept wanting to go to the wrong strings. Some songs were really easy, but a couple that should have been a snap sort of threw me.
But it is starting to come back. I have a couple of weeks before we get together again so I will woodshed it until then. Can't wait to see how it sounds recorded with the new Pro-Tools set up that the guitarist has put together. The whole bottom floor of his house is now a studio - three separate rooms. Should be killer.
Anyway ... my 'new' Roscoe sure sounds good. Now I just have to find a comfortable strap for it. |

Never found anything better myself, been using them since about '97 (still using the first one I bought too!).

Thanks for the tip, Gard! | Yeah, I love my comfort strapp. It really reduced shoulder fatigue. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
