Actually, walnut. In person, it's a bit more brown than red/maroon.

Well, that's a boring answer!! Surely it's a rare South American Walnut with a name that we in the Northern Hemisphere are physically incapable of pronouncing? Click-tok-phht (AKA Walnut).

Either way, it's gorgeous. What a nice piece of woodworking!

Oh yeah! I remember that bass well. That bass has a great cutting tone and the 19mm string spacing really makes it great for finger style! It definitely looks favors 6023. Brothers from different mothers
