OK,

How'd you get the inlay to light Bob? Are the LED's FretFX?

Very Cool!

God Bless, Ray

See the switch? Gard suggested that it may be a switch for the flux capacitor. I think he is on to something. Btw, what is FretFX?

It IS for the flux capacitor!!!

Be careful if you have it turned on and you're going 88 mph...a lightning strike could cause you to end up somewhen else....

...nice bass man!

Looks like a 2-band preamp, can't identify it from the front though - if it's cut/boost, it's Bart; if it's boost-only, it's an Aggie OBP-1.

Oh, and Keith was in Sandpoint last week, FYI. He's back now though.

Someone else has something interesting coming very soon (the neck is in the spray booth, will be fretted by the end of the week! )...

It's an Aggie. Although not my favorite pre (not big on boost only), the tone is inherently Roscoe.

Sandpoint is a beautiful area. So is this...

Nice bass.

Nice bass.
Thank you. I had no idea it had the LEDs until I unpacked it last night. Flipped the switch and WHOA! Nice surprise for sure. Then, another surprise. I removed the control cavity and battery covers and found FOUR 9v! I'm gonna have to head to Costco so I can buy in bulk.

Great lookin' bass bobunit. Besides the preamp and the LEDs, what are the other specs?

My Roscoe senses were tingling. I had a feeling I would find-out something about the buckeye burl beauty today!

I bought it 2nd hand. If I had to guess, I'd say: Spanish Cedar back, Spalted Purpleheart Sapwood (little or no Purple) fingerboard, neck looks to be Maple/Spalted Purpleheart/Maple with stringers of ??? The top? No clue. Bart pickups with Aggie OBP1. At some point, I will have the Aggie swapped out for a 3 band.

Buckeye burl sounds hot! Lookin' forward to seeing that one.

The top is figured maple (catchall phrase for "a bit of everything"), the fingerboard is definitely spalted purpleheart sapwood. If you can get me a good photo of the back of the body and neck, I'll do my best to identify those as well.

I believe she broke her coccyx at the Bruneau sand dunes.

So I'm talking to my buddy this morning telling him about my cool bass, thinking to myself about how rare the LEDs must be, when he tells me the bass player in the band he subbed for last weekend has a Roscoe 6er with blue LEDs...

It's unfortunate that I must destroy him.
