Another Roscoe Love Story

I picked up this SKB 3006 a few months ago and I really dug it from day one. The tone is pure Roscoe and I'm a sucker for red and the splated purpleheart fingerboard is amazing.

The only thing I couldn't get used to was the chunkness of the neck. I like a flat thin neck on a sixer so I call Gard and he told me to ship them the bass and they would re-profile the neck. That was eight days ago and I have her back in my hot little hands and the neck profile is perfect! I can't say enough about how I love these basses and the people who work there.

I'm bringing my 3006 JJ to the GTG but now I want to bring 4575 as well.

Thanks for listening to my rave. Now for the porn!

I guess I'll ship it to Joe. I'll never get two basses in the passenger compartment of the plane.

Do you think they would let me on with 20 lbs of bass in a bag? If Airtran tried to put it in baggage, I'd have to miss the flight.

Dunno man, I've traveled with a double all my life, had trouble one or two times...I think they're more concerned with SIZE than weight in carry-on luggage.

You could call AirTran and ask.

When are you flying in, and are you hitting ATL?

I arrive in Atlanta at 10 am.

I just spoke to Airtran and their policy is that if an instrument case is less the 55" in lenth, it can be a carry on at no additional charge. My pro tec single gig bag is only 49" so I guess I need to do some shopping.

I got so excited that you might actually be serious on shipping it to me that I forgot to comment on the killer Roscoe and the always excellent CS that Gard, Keith and the Roscoe folks provide!

No better, no where!

Don't worry about it Brother These basses get me going as well, I have sooooo much work to do today and I haven't started any of it yet. If I can't find a bag I like in time, She'll be coming at you. Just don't wait until August to send it back.

Just Kidding you Joe

lol

Don't worry Jerry! If I'm tasked with shipping it back to you it'll go the Monday after the GTG per your instructions. Of course I may do some A/B'ing before it's boxed up!

Nice Roscoe Jerry!

If you send it to Joe, I might have to get to the GTG a little early.

God Bless, Ray

Sorry Joe, I closed a deal with Gard today for a Roscoe double gig bag so it looks like I'll be shleping them both. We'll have plenty of time for A/B testing if you can pry your sixer away from me
