Six string Roscoe Barts have 2 and Bart CB's have 4. The ones in the picture appear to be Roscoe Bart's.

Bill,
The p/u's for 5 strings are 2 for Roscoe Barts and 3 for Bart CB's.

God Bless, Ray
Maybe I'm wrong. I know both of mine are listed as Roscoe Barts on the spec sheets, but that doesn't mean they are still that, as the spec sheet lists my SKB's pre as a Aguilar, but I know that was changed to a Bart later.

Maybe they were different runs too, as you said.

That's the one.

What the heck is in my SKB?!

Should I try swapping pickups with my LG, if they are different?!

If they are CB's, are they stock?!

Where is the Jade Monkey?!

Eh, I have some string/nut issues that need to be fixed on both first, so I'll ponder this for a bit.

Are the CB's and the Roscoe Barts any different looking from the underside?

Hey thanks for the info. and the suggestion,i'll check it out.
I've been thinking about doing some switch-arooney on my bass,so this option sounds really good.I guess that's what people refer to when they say "edge" when using the Aggie pre.
Btw i still love the sound of my Roscoe specially now that i switched to a different set of DR's.

After reading this info i went to check up on my LG3005 and to my surprise my bass actually has cb's (3 screws),i actually thought i had Roscoe's.Hahaha guys again thanks for the info,i'm glad that i kept asking around and not spent the money on p/u's and or pre.I guess that's why every time i saw a video of someone playing a Roscoe i thought mine does not sound like that.
Anyways.....Anthony's bass looks and sounds great.

Oops! After looking back over a few 3005 and CS pic's I discovered that I was incorrect on the 5 string p/u's. It appears that both version of p/u's have 3 mounting screws. I guess that the only way to tell on the 5 string p/u's is open the back and look at the wiring (Roscoe Barts are 4 wire w/gnd and the CB's are 2 wire with shield gnd).

Sorry for the misinformation and confusion!

Here's a recent clip of Anthony and the Roscoe:

Anthony Crawford's Bass Solo @NAMM Bass Bash 2012 - YouTube!

The first part is the tapping solo stuff, but I like the 2nd half (3:32) of the video where they grove more with the band. You can hear the aggressive Aggie / Bart combo.

Note: the bass never sounded this good when I owned it

Must be the California sunshine, yeah...............that's it.
