It is Wenge F/B , but very hard , and bright colored wenge.

I already have MTD with wenge board , but it's not hard as this one , neither bright as.

I was about to say, from that headstock pic it looks almost like a really dark piece of cocobolo.

Clint,
Yes, I spec'd it out with the Demeter. That's one of the ones that Sha send to Carey and had the Nords installed with the tulipwood covers. He ultimately changed out the Demeter to the Aggie OBP-3. The Demeter just doesn't work very well with the Nords.
I played it with the Nord/Aggie configuration (before Sha sold it) and it sounded nice but IMO there's just something magical about the Roscoe Demeter paired w/Bart p/u's. IMO that combo stands right there with the traditional Bart/Bart and the Nord/Aggie or Audere combo's. Those combos justify a player having 3 fretteed Roscoe's (along with a Roscoe fretless of course!)

I am partial to the Demeter myself. I was talking to the guys at TPB and they were telling me that the Glokenklang pre sounds even better than the Demeter. I would really like to hear from someone who has one in their Roscoe with the Bart pickups.
