The Ballad of Gard Lewis

Guys,

For my first Roscoe Sound Clip, I wrote an ode to our Favorite GM. It's Titled "Ballad of Gard Lewis".

Thanks to a great mix from Greg @ Rocket Music, Here she be;

http://www.rocketmusic.net/SoundClip...fGardLewis.mp3

I sing horribly but I hope you'll be laughing enough not to hear me.

This was played on my Century Standard 5 direct into 2488mkII with highs cut slightly and mids boosted slightly, as well as a lean toward the neck pickup for a good "country" tone.

Hope y'all like it.

God Bless, Ray

The Roscoe is Fantastic. My playing and Singing are lacking.

But, I was going for a laugh, not a grammy.

Will the need for retaliation finally push the Gardfather into using his BR-600?!?

Man, that Cowboys Century Standard kicks so much more butt than the football team!! It sounds terrific, Ray. Great tone, great bass playing.

Nonsense!!!

I apply the 60/40 rule to the sound of ANY bass.

60% player, 40% bass...

NO bass can sound good unless it's in capable hands... so I stand by my original statement.

It sounds KILLER!!!

lol

I definitely hear that Roscoe tone dude!

Man Ray! I'd say that the odd's of you getting a fretless "Cowboy Roscoe" just went way down!

...as a matter of fact, it wouldn't surprise me if you didn't wake up one morning to find a Saints logo at your 12th fret!

It's cause Roscoe makes badazz instruments. And I "manage" a Roscoe better than the Cowboys Owner does the football team.

Roscoes are awesome.

I couldn't be happier.

As I say, I'll get something up to show off the bass, but this one was fun.

The tone of that Roscoe was the only thing musical about that song! Ha Ha Ha!

I figure if Ray makes Gard mad, he will repossess the DC Roscoe and give it to me. For me, I would have put a picture of the DC Cheerleaders on the bass and clear coated it.

Not bad...she'd look better without that uniform though.

Actually, the uniform is really pretty. It'd just look better crumpled up in the corner of Ray's bedroom.
