Bent stacked knobs..

So, I dinged my Roscoe the other day. Fortunately, there is no scratch or dent, but both stacked knobs (high, high-mid) are both the slightest bit bent. Is it OK to just take the knob off and bend the pot back?

....Looks like you need to speak to the Gard Father.

You may be able to but be careful. Lightly clamp down the pot casing and bend the shaft with as little movement as possible. If you distort the internal wiper assy. to the casing, the pot it will not work properly.

Audere pre, right?

Been here, done this.

So far (knock on wood), I've just been able to take the bent knob and gently bend it back to position without any ill effects. I've had to do it multiple times too, because frankly, the Audere pots are a bit...well...what's the right word here...LESS THAN STURDY...

However, this is in no way an endorsement or guarantee of anything - just that I've done it and it worked.

I don't THINK you have anything to worry about, but I can't promise you that your experience will mirror mine.

Does anyone else hear a subliminal Aggie preamp endorsement in this post?

Especially when you read the post backwards slowly.

Y'know as I saw this again I couldn't help but see Gard as Forrest Gump with his "flex-o-lite" ping pong paddle?

Forrest Gard, "I use my Au-de-ere and Ag-gie pre-ayumps e'ry time I plays my Ros-coe Bass Gee-tars"

Does anybody else come to the same conclusion?
