Carvin! I might be one of few Carvin user around here. A 2x10 neodymium cab (BRX10.2NEO) and a 1x15 (BR115) hooked up individually or combined to my (discontinued) 800 watt amp (B800). Granted, my stack hardly ever leaves home, but the few times I have taken it out it surely kicked butt. Loud, powerful, clear. Nice thump. It's not going to be top of the line compared to other brands, but great quality at a very reasonable price made in the good 'ol USA....at least back when I made the purchase in 2007/8.

I have a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with an Epifani UL410 that sounds just amazing. If you want to try it, hit me up with a pm.

I had a "moment" with my Sig. Actually, more like the entire band practice.

Hey Taylor! Good to see you 'round man!

Y'all, Taylor is a MONSTER player from the Wilmington, NC area (and student of Steve Bailey! ), and has a smokin' SKB 3006 Boxelder Burl/Spanish Cedar with a Black Diamondwood fretless fingerboard.

I'm with you on the 310, I love mine, and keep threatening to get a second one...

Hey Gard thanks for the shoutout brother you are the man!

at crowncourier- The 310 is a lil bit smaller than the epi 410 but just as loud and with as much low end clarity. it kills!

Taylor and Gard thanks for this info. Im thinking to go for the cabinet first ( I'm leaning toward the ul310) any thoughts on the Epifani piccolo 600 vs my old Eden wt300?

I've been really happy with the 310, good "compromise" between the larger/heavier (although not nearly as much as most) 210/410, sounds almost exactly like the 410, but takes up the same footprint as a 210.

As for the head, I've always been a "change one thing at a time" guy. I'd start with the cab, then see how you feel about that change...if you still want something different, then start looking at the head.

Good luck!

Epifini UL 310 vs an older T310 NYC

So while checking different Cabinets, I stumbled across a Epifini T310 NYC which I guess is an older version of the UL series 2 310. Anyone know if they sound similar to each other or are they quite different?

It's been a long time since I played thorough an NYC cab, it IS significantly different - it's the "non-UL" version of the cab, and uses non-neo magnets for the drivers. I remember liking the sound of the cab, but not the heft of it (I'm too old for those 75-80+ lb cabs now! ).
