Just wanted to share an "old/new" bass with everyone...note the "flatter" carving on the body and the luthier's joint/scarf joint headstock!
Full monty, front & back:

Did Keith use Hipshots a long while back or was this bass retrofit?
All the best,
Doug |

All the best,
Doug | Good eye, sir.
Actually, that bass was just put together from some very old parts that were just sitting around gathering dust. The body has several flaws, and the neck was one that we were not comfortable selling as "new". Jimmy mentioned his student, said that "cosmetics" weren't an issue, and we made it work. We just thought it turned out fairly well overall, but it isn't something we would ever sell as a "new Roscoe".
