Boy does Greg have great taste :)

So, in checking out those awesome recent arrivals @ Rocketmusic, I can't help but notice that Greg has great taste in Roscoes. To wit:

His:

Mine:

Granted, we're talkin' flamed maple vs. fertile myrtle, but you just have to love those spalted purpleheart fingerboards.

And then...

His:

Mine:

The spalted burl maple on both instruments is amazing. It was the first thing that grabbed my attention...just stunning!

Vroomvroom, your fretless is stunning.
What are the specs? Is that an ebony board?
I am thinking I need a new fretless (5 string preferably) and yours only makes the want worse

And yes, Rocket has some very sweet Roscoes.

Hah!! I don't know how to tell you this, Jerry, but you and I kinda look alike, too. I don't have a cat plastered to my face, but four eyes and a dark goatee? Check.

Thanks for the props, guys. I wish I could say I had something to do with it, but it's all thanks to the skilled folks at Roscoe working with some of Mudder Nature's finer materials. Kudos to Keth and company fo' sho... even Gard (I did NOT just say that out loud, did I?)

I still have to pinch myself every morning when I turn the lights on at Rocket Music. My bass wall is puuurrrty.

LOL @ Greg! We'll have to get together and gang up on Gard sometime - maybe we can pull the Jedi mind trick on him with our specs and goatees.

BM, thanks! I can't begin to convey how much I love my fretless. It sounds better than it looks, and it's undoubtedly one of the most beautiful basses I've seen. That top and the ebony board....just slurp. It's spalted burl maple over ash, with Bartolini electronics. Here are the two family members together:

Crap. This means you guys can pull the Jedi Mind Trick on me. Not only will I be defenseless, I'll still have to answer to my wife.

Gard & Greg: "You want to buy THIS Roscoe."

Jerry: "No, really, I'm cool. I've got two awesome Roscoes, and...."

Gard & Greg: "You WILL buy this Roscoe."

Jerry: "Crap. Honey?!?..."
