Century Standard Pickup Swap?

coming on the new Roscoe Century Standard is a standard Bartolini soapbar pickups. while i'm excited about this new line, i've been playing this beast just about everyday for the last two weeks at Bass Emporium. now the question is simple... the stock pickups that come in the Roscoe Century Standard, can i just straight replace them with the Nordy DC4's like what's in that one? does anyone know if the dimensions are the same?
i know the Century Standards aren't out yet, but i like to plan ahead

because it's sooooooo beautiful!!

The answer is yes, you can. The Nordstrand Dual Coils, Fat Stacks, Big Singles, and Big Splits are all built on the exact dimensions as the "P" series Bart pickups, so they are direct replacements.

The next question, I can already hear it ( ):

Can it be a factory modification?

No. The Century Standard is what it is. If you want a custom, order a custom (i.e. LG/SKB/Century Signature). The Standard is just that, a "standard" bass, a "production line" instrument.

What you do with it once you have it, like a Fender Jazz, is your business, but if we start doing custom options on this bass, it will no longer be in the price range that we have it in now.

That said, be watching for some potential "limited edition" versions (special colors, etc) over time.

i thank you for answering that question. however... to cut you down to size (Mwa Ha Ha!) my next question was not going to be "can it be a factory modification?". i've read enough of these threads to know that the bass is the bass is the bass, and the price is the price is the price.
honestly, that's a great policy. Roscoes are great basses, and at the price point at which the Century Standards are coming in, these'll be a steal of a deal!
i know you've got guys working overtime just to get out the regularly custom made basses, and now i'm sure they're freaking out because of having to do a lower priced bass at higher quantities.
but a guy like me is just glad to get a bass of Roscoe quality at such a great price. you've done enough good. i'll put the new pups in myself, thanks

Let's see, colors or colored theme that would be cool:

White with Black Hardware (Roscoe "Mime Killer")
Blue Burst (Roscoe "Smurf Slayer")
Purple Burst (Roscoe "Purple Passion")
Red Burst (Roscoe "Broken Heart")
Cherry Burst ("")
White with Gold Hardware (Roscoe Anniversary Model)
Black with Black Hardware (Roscoe "Black Hole")
Red, Yellow and Green (Roscoe "The Marley")
Pink with Red Spatters (Roscoe "Hello Dead Kitty")
Light Green (Roscoe "Alien")

You have to admit, the Hello Dead Kitty was pretty good.

Just proves the point that true artist are never understood! But, I guess the same goes for Psychopaths as well. Go figure.

Clint, I liked MOST of your suggestions.

The dead kitty one was at the top. I see nothing warped or demented about it. Some people will never under...... WHAT mother???? I'm trying to have a conversation here. Yes, I will move your rocking chair in a moment.

As I was saying, some people will never understand people like ........... Clarice, is that you Clarice??? Come closer.

Well Clint, I keep getting interrupted so let me just say you always have a room available here at the Bates motel.

Hey, if it were not for the voices in our heads, we would be a lonely group.

I think Hello Dead Kitty would be "killer" with DR Red Devils!!!
Would pick up that red paint spatter quite nicely! (insert evil simley here).

Back Hole with Black Beauties and an ebony fb - If I ever decide to go back to 35 scale, that'll be it (but since I'm selling the 35's to get to all 34's, a standard "anything" isn't in the cards for a while).
