Century V standard fretless question

Gard, on the new Century fretless is there an option in the color of the fingerboard.

For example what is the difference in the manufacturing process of a regular black diamondwood lined fretless, and a birds eye maple lined fretless?

If there is no difference in process, is it still considered a custom add?

Joel -

We only offer the black diamondwood on the Century Standards. The reason is simple: supply and cost.

Black diamondwood is easy to source and fixed cost; bird's eye maple diamondwood is like finding hen's teeth, and costs more.
