Change finish color

Gard, I know this is going to sound strange, but is it possible to have the finish changed on one of my basses?

I would love to have a blue burst, and I was thinking about having it done to a Roscoe that I already have.

I have done quite a bit of woodwork, and I know what a pain in the keister it is to refinish wood.

But, that blue burst is something that is so unique that I would be willing to offer up to the finish gods(as opposed to Finnish gods) one of my babies in order to see the outcome.

I was just wondering if it has ever been done before by you guys.

Joel -

The honest answer is, maybe.

It depends on what you're trying to change - if the bass already has a color, it's unlikely to be possible, because most of our colors are stained directly to the wood itself. If it's natural, it can be done, but it is labor-intensive.
