Changing pickups on a LG-3000 fretless

Hi All!
I am the happy owner of a LG-3000 signature fretless, I love it for 6 years now and planning to keep it going that way!
Nevertheless, I am considering of upgrading the bartolini pickups to nordstrand double coil (as Roscoe now oftenly do). So I would like to know what you think about this operation, is it somehow heresy or it could work good enhancing even more the sound this bass already has? Another question, the standard wiring of the bartolinis is serie or parallel? I now this is a newbie question but I have no idea...

Thank you very for your answers!

Cheers from France!

Hello! Is this Thibaut? If so, I just replied to your e-mail, with details. For a quick answer, there is no "better" or "worse" when comparing Nordstrand or Bartolini pickups - just "different".

That said, if you have a standard LG model bass with the slanted pickups, the Nordstrand Dual Coils will not work correctly with them, so they are not an option.

Let me know if there is anything else we can help you with!
