Well, it's finally official---the order has been placed, the deposit has been sent, and apparently, a serial number has been assigned!!
Here's what it's gonna be:
#6091
Century 3005
Swamp Ash body w/enhanced grain
1 piece burl maple top w/wenge shim between top and body
35" scale
20mm string spacing at bridge
Standard maple/purpleheart/maple neck
Wenge Fretboard
Maple Burl 12th fret inlay
Diamondwood Nut
Bart CB pickups
Aguilar OBP-3 preamp
Hardshell case
I've been waiting (as Gard knows) years to be able to do this, and with a huge thanks to Greg at Rocket Music, it's finally happening.

So, when I found out that Roscoe indeed would make a 5 string with spacing that wide at the bridge, I was in trouble.
I love my Warwick, but it's not a Roscoe, no matter how much I want it to be.

Sounds like a recipe for tone!
That 20mm should make a nice slap bass. Plenty of room between strings. I'm a burl maple top guy too and Roscoe ALWAYS has some killer burl maple tops!
Make sure to post progress pic's for us Roscoe addicts! |

I think I'm gonna go with matching wood knobs on it, too.

As to the deposit, I think that varies from dealer to dealer. I put quite a bit down for mine, so I don't know exactly what the exact amount to get one started would be.

"GUH!" Time for another diaper change. Amazing choices, my man - this bass is going to be ridiculous. In fact, we're gonna' have to coin a new term...something like, roscoelicious, or Gardomite!.
I keep re-reading the specs, and I'm just knocked out by your choices. This one is going to be, dare I say it, rosctabulous. Congratulations to you! P.S. Please excuse the lame humor in this post. |

Yeah, I think it should be a winner for me---the Roscoe neck, coupled with the wide spacing, should be about a perfect fit for my playing style.

So:
I chose things the way I did with this one based on past experiences with the 4 different SKB 3006's I've owned in the past mainly, and on recommendations from Gard and Greg to get me what I'm looking for, both tone-wise and looks-wise.
The ONLY component of this bass that I don't have any prior knowledge of will be the Bart CB pickups---I'm going strictly off of opinions here on this forum with them.
