I was wondering if you guys were able to add a midi or not. Is that something that's also available for the standard/plus series or is it just available for Sig and Custom basses?

We no longer offer a MIDI interface option like this. There is just not enough market demand to justify the cost of tooling up to do internally mounted MIDI electronics, along with the fact that the newer externally mounted systems are quite functional, and are not a permanent transformation of the instrument.

Thanks for the kind words.

YES, "The Muse Awakens" by my band "Happy the Man" featured these two basses exclusively. You can listen to two of the tracks here by clicking on the titles:

http://www.everythinghappytheman.com/music.html

The two tracks are "Contemporary Insanity" and the title track "The Muse Awakens". The title track features quite a nice example of the fretless sound in the first section.

Enjoy - and thanks to Keith - he is certainly a great friend and a wizard!

Best,

BassHappy

Love the songs! Parts of "Contemporary Insanity" reminds me of some of Steve Morse stuff with the Dregs. I love the constant syncopation changes.
Very nice fretless tone in "The Muse Awakens" too!

Thanks for sharing!

Again, thanks for the kind words....

Gard - hope posting these one-of-a-kind beauties doesn't cause you any stress! Didn't mean to and actually didn't realize you were not offering the midi systems any more!

Kind regards to Keith

In thinking about it...

After thinking for a few minutes - the Dregs/Steve Morse is a nice comparison. Can't say we are good friends but I met those guys a couple of times - SUPER nice guys...

And there was a deep mutual respect.

And, we shared the same label (Arista) and the same producer (Ken Scott).

Very perceptive of you!
