Crazy idea....

Has anyone ever put a Sadowsky preamp into a Roscoe? Maybe with some big singles?
mahogany body
Spalted/Flame maple top
maple neck
Chechen Fingerboard

Any thoughts?

At the risk of offending anyone, try the OBP-1, to my ear, it's essentially the exact same preamp - and NO I'm not implying anything other than this: To my ear, they sound the same (i.e. very similar).

I've never heard that but, this is the kind of info I want to get. You are the man Gard.

+1, both the Sadowsky & OBP1 are bass & treble boost only if I'm not mistaken. The Aggie OB1 pre sound a tad bit warmer to me than the Sadowsky and the Sadowsky pre has a bit more a range as far as bass & treble taper goes, not as immediate. As always it's a matter of taste, both great pre's.

Took the words right out of my mouth.........That's not to imply that Aguilar might have designed the Sadowsky pre (or that Warmoth ever made necks and/or bodies for Sadowsky's).

At any rate, I played a Roscoe LG with a mahogany body, myrtle burl top, maple finger board, Nord singles and an Aggie OPB-3 pre and it sounded very nice. That's very close to your spec's!
