The second clip has DR Lo-Riders on, where the first clip has the stock strings, that's why the difference.

Thanks for the kind words, guys!

Wow. It sounds great! I saw this one in person a few weeks ago at the shop and was intrigued by the MM pickup. Of course, it looks awesome too. Really cool that it's the first of its kind. I'm sure there will be more, after hearing it.

The bass itself - and moreso the playing - absolutely fantastic!

I'm bumping this to add a short, post-gig report.

You know those sounds guys, who even when you're playing in a big, boomy room EQ the kick drum to eat up ALL the sonic room for the bass? Yeah, this bass is their kryptonite. They can TRY, but you're gonna get heard, and heard well.

Life. Is. Good!

Don't you just love rubbing those guy's noses in it?

The Imperial Stormtrooper has a similar vibe to it - "...what, you can still hear me? GOOD!....b!tc4..."

Dude, thank you so much! I keep waiting for the day I'm exposed as a fraud. I guess today's not that day. Funny, I was just thinking I've realized that when I get compliments like this, it makes me want to work harder to earn them....

Food for thought Pacman. Glad you're enjoying it. Any footage homie?

Who do I need to talk to for a Bart MM 6 string capable of 20mm spacing... Bartolini I guess.

Just the one clip I posted. We'll be doing more, and both this and the Standard Plus 5/JJ will be going into recording mode very soon for the new CD.

Jon, that bass just seems to 'fit you'. Your playing seems even more impressive as usual. It looks great on you... The new 'Jon Packard Signature'?

Great bass, great playing.

Wow man, thanks! Seems like maybe I should spend more time exploring this one....interesting that others often hear us better than we hear ourselves, no?

Agreed. It's a good job they do though - or I'd of got nowhere! :-)
