Does anyone else have it this bad?

I just finished staining the deck on my house which was a quite large task.
I found myself saving stir sticks from sherwin williams because one had some really nice flame to it and one was figured... Granted, I'm never going to do anything but look at these "sticks"... But does anybody else have this tick or am I just losing it? LOL!

Take the sticks and make a couple "Mini Roscoes"

Then you can post 'em here complete with your dream specs.

God Bless, Ray

A nice flamed top and back with an Alder core and Wenge tone plates.

So, flame maple, wenge, alder, wenge then flame maple.

LOL... It's the fumes from the stain.!

Stay away from the neighbor's hardwood floors.

Yep!

I've definitely got it bad too! We had some renovation work done at my mother in-laws and I was going all over the house checking out the different patterns of wood grain in the doors.

I even see great potential bass finishes in apples! I've seen some awesome cherry sunburst finishes in several Red Delicious apples!

Every time I go to the Flea Market at the State Fairgrounds I look for old furniture that could possibly be made into a bass. Saw a beautiful piece of Claro Walnut on an end table once but it was too small. The book match would not have lined up correctly.

Nice! I'm not the only one! Hahaha!

Ray's got me thinking that I should pull out the dremel and make some ornaments outta them... I've got a template idea cooking in my head that i might have to look at

The next build will be a SKB 4 string... Ash body, Myrtle top, standard neck, thin profile.. Bart pickups and pre... I was thinking that a PJ config might be in order, and either a maple or pau ferro fb... I haven't really decided on that one yet...

I drive the missus crazy. Anytime I see wood, I have to inspect it, see what species it is, if it's figured anywhere, if I think it would look good on the top of a bass...

...no, you're not alone.
