How does that neck feel, with the finish on it? |

That is a SWEET bass. As I said before, I really liked that "Lakland" pickup setup of "J" neck and "MM" bridge.
I thought my previous Roscoes were nice but this is amazing.

Who gets to sell it?

Steve, it is a bit more pricey than a "standard" Standard, but not by much, because of the JM pickup option ($200), it's selling for $2399 (this is a one-time, never-again deal, by the way, there WILL NOT be another like it! The matching headstock, carved top, and finish on the neck will NOT be available again on a Standard. Period.). So far, no dealer has claimed it, so if you (or anyone else - JOEL, GET MOVING! ) is interested in it, get with your favorite dealer NOW! |

I've been on top of a mountain for the past few days so, cell service has been spotty at best. I got a message from Jim at the Atlanta Bass Gallery asking if I still wanted it. I ended up having to drive down Mt. Cheaha to find enough service to call him back in order to snag the bass before another dealer got a hold of it.
This bass is going to be an interesting one for me. Chances are that it will not remain tuned B through G. It probably will get a new set of tenor or even piccolo strings. I figured the JM configuration would fatten up the tone. My current piccolo has Bartolini J's and it sounds a little thin.
Now, I still have two basses in the sales forums. I need to get those sold to get my cash flow moving in a positive direction. |
