Cool E043

Inspired by the white one I saw a while back...

Century Standard 5 JJ/JB Fretless
Swamp Ash body
Natural finish
3-piece Maple neck
Diamondwood fingerboard
Graphite nut
Bartolini JJ pickups in the "JB" position
Bartolini 3-band preamp
Satin Chrome hardware (well, black after I get it, which I'll post later - should hopefully ship today).

I better, or I'm making a trip out to NC with a whole can-o-whoopass to spray all over the place...

I'll shoot a pic with both the "sisters" together, too.

Very nice Vic!

That will be a killer sounding fretless!

It should be... it plays great as expected, the weight feels right at where I wanted it, and if the JB pickup position sounds anything like the Zon I had a while back, this'll definitely be a long term keeper.

Man, I'm telling you, these Century Standards... definitely one of the best bang/buck deals out there for sure. My fretted model continues to kill.

8.4 pounds of fretless goodness. Once again Keith's team nails it to the wall. This thing sings like a bird.

And it's "sister" (who is also wearing black now, actually)...

Took both to worship yesterday. Worked out conveniently because the music was kinda' split into chunks with a 4 minute break right before the last two songs, which just begged for fretless. And since both basses are pretty much the same elex and such, tech didn't have to make any adjustments for the swap.

It was great to have that singing tone at my fingertips again.

Let's just say, it's as good of a fretless as I'll ever need, and then some.

My gosh, these Century Standards are just amazing values. I love all the high end stuff Keith does, but honestly, if this product line had more exposure, it could totally take over as his bread and butter line in unit sales and profit. A good thing!

Awesome Vic! Nothing like a Roscoe fretless in your hands during a worship song. One note's worth a thousands licks!
