Maybe I should have waited to come up an check out your P&W group until you had both Roscoes. Somehow we're gonna' have to make a ND, and maybe NW MN, GTG happen. Have fun with the new one.
Oh, and BTW, thanks to you, and your team, for entertaining us at your church last weekend. It was an informative (despite the tech problems) and good time.

And yes, I think we have enough people around here for a GTG.

I was loving the fretless at church and it sounds great, but this one really sounded great, too. It's so tight and compressed (in a good way- I think it's the CB pups that give it that sound) that it just sits in the mix so well.
It may be a Sunday by Sunday thing. If there's a tune or two that screams fretless...
I also like the fretted because I don't have to think quite so hard - pitch, technique - so I can just play if you know what I mean.
Nice problem to have I guess.
I'm already thinking about what would be a middle ground of these two. The Fretless (mahogany/JB pups) is really full and deep. The fretted (ash/CB's) has more cut or bite or something like that. Maybe a fretted with mahogany body and the 3J pups for something different yet similar, not sure about fingerboard or top wood. Maybe in a few months...

Of course there is a really nice CS6+ that's currently listed on the TB classified.
You'd really enjoy that one now that you've got the 2-5's to use for your primary gigging.
With 3 SC+ models you could be the CS+ KING!!! |

Believe me, when I was playing some Jimmy Haslip stuff the thought of that 6 crossed my mind more than once...
