In a sort of important recording session, with the great Steve Holley(Paul Mcartney & Wings,Elton,Mott the Hoople)
on drums for the entire CD, it's also being produced by Richard Barone, who was the lead singer for The Bongos..two amazing talents, it's been educational, sturggling (and learning) w the same old things, keeping it simple and streamlined, and consistancy..
but to make a long story short,
I bought a good PBass, there are vintage fenders here,etc..and I really wanted to switch, but the Producer keeps saying the Roscoe sounds so perfect,"why change it?"
and it does, growly and aggressive when needed, pretty and delicate like a soft John Deacon Pbass wherever needed..it sounds amazing,AND it sounds like a lot of different basses,an amazing album..thanks to Roscoe for making me look like a Pro, and thanx to Steve Holley for helping me,guiding me and generally giving me tips and guidance along the way,a gentleman and a real good guy.
When the thing's mixed,I'll post it

btw..I went through an old Ampeg B-18 ! and a direct line into a couple of compressors..
and the Roscoe LG sounds like the punkiest, raunchiest slab of meat ever..she's got bite for such a pretty lady.
next I'm using the Kala Ubass for two tracks, gonna be nicely recorded through the tube amp..that'll sound interesting.
