(Your award is the Roscoe baseball cap I keep hoping Gard will tell us is available for sale so I can stop wearing my Sadowsky one on outdoor gigs. Not that this is, like, a hint or anything.) | I wish I could take credit for the photoshop, but another TBer put that together for the original owner.
Yeah, Gard is a little overworked and trying to get the hats and shirts together is taking awhile. I think the first screen printer gave one price then later couldn't do it for the price. |

My Amboyna has the same specs as that, but it's AMBOYNA.
I just played with a local jazz group the other day, and they were amazed at the tone of the Demeter with the Nordy pickups.
I know this combo has taken some heat, but in this bass, I think it sounds killer.
Congrats again on your new bass. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/attach...7&d=1193986690
here is a reminder pic of my headstock

The Mac, that "Wenge Barrier" is called a Sound Plate as I recall from previous discussions. Gard, check my memory. . .

We just call the extra laminate either a "shim" or "racing stripe". Some others have called it a "tone plate", but the reality is that it is just too thin to be of any effect on the tone.

Definitely not the flashiest bass in the thread, but there's something very special about this LG to me. I guess it's because I paid full retail for her? Any of you the same way? Bass gets high marks with you because you threw down a huge wad of cash?
For your viewing pleasure, I submit the following:
