I'm looking forward to getting this one in your hands, and soon!

Wow Diego! what a sweet looking bass you'll have. Some questions now:
1. Is that a walnut top?
2. 5-string or 6-string?
3. Do you still have that lovely spalted 6 in your avatar?
4. Will this be a fretless?

Century Signature VI
Exhibition Walnut top
Swamp Ash back
Natural finish
Audere preamp
Nordstrand DC6 pickups
Wenge Wedge neck
Ebony fingerboard w/no 12th fret inlay (fretted)
Diamondwood nut
Black hardware (inlaid straplocks)
Diego will have to respond about the spalted SKB 3006, but I believe it is still in his possession, happily.

THIN NECK PROFILE!!! (the best IMO, ultra comfy neck)
alternating maple/walnut veneer between top an body.
I still have the spalted SKB...I LOVE it. With the Century VI I am shooting for a different flavor.
Gard, any chances of a sneak peek of the FB and neck?

Hey, your bass is actually in about the same spot time-wise as Diego's, however, because of the way things went in the finish process, it was already sanded out when I was able to take photos - so it looks a bit "cloudy" right now.
We'll have photos to you soon, promise!

Originally it was going to be a satin finish, but after talking to many people and seeing some instruments in stores, I think the high gloss is really going to make the walnut "pop" out much more; it is a beautiful top...it deserves center stage
I'll try to keep the thread alive with updates and pics whenever I get them!
Diego

There have been some nice looking walnut topped Roscoe's lately!
Very nice Diego!
I really love the sound of the Nord p/u'ss with the Audere pre! Very versatile. |
