Fellow Roscoeheads...your advice appreciated on hard-case matter

Dear Roscoeheads,

I've been pondering the possibility of selling my old(er) Pro-Tec hard case (for my SKB3006) to get one of the new TKL (I believe) Keith et al are now shipping the basses with (like the one my Century VI came in). The only reason is bulk, as I feel the newer cases (with latches instead of zippers) are less bulky and thus easier to store/move around. This is probably just a very minor conundrum on my head at the moment and don't even know if I follow through, but would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

Hey Diego,
I think you mean the former Modern cases (now out of business). The new TKL cases are typical hard cases and are nice but I rarely use it. I actually use a Mono dub bag most of the time and also have a couple of the Protec Contego soft cases that I use if I just bring a single bass. The Protec Contego cases are very nice and a real bargain (<$100).

Hey Joe,

Thanks for the insights. As of now, I just think it may be the OCD speaking meaning I'd like to have the same type of case for both basses...I know, can't fight it...

I use the Body Glove Gig bags. Amazing.
OEMs too heavy to use other than shipping.
