Well.....
From this, I would guess that you're in your 30's. People who were pre-teens to teens in the Reagan administration picked this idiosyncrasy up since that's the way he answered most of the questions in his press conferences (without a prepared text). I taught 7th and 8th graders in 1985, and all of their essays started with the word, "Well."

For me, it's better than starting everything with "Um," using "you know" throughout the conversation, and today's linguistic bastardization, inserting "like" between every verb and direct object.

This bass was, like, better with pink strings....

From this I'd say that you're a male from SW Pennsylvannia and currently playing Brice and Alder basses (although you'd love to have a Fretless 6 string Roscoe Century with maple or Diamondwood fingerboard) and your influences are
Geddy Lee, John Giblin and Gard.......

You can tell a lot about a guy by the type strings that he likes!

I much prefer the black DR's!

...the only possible influence I could have on another bassist is as an example of what NOT to play...

...I hesitate to think what this means about you...or me, for that matter (as I too prefer the black DR's! )...
