Flight case for Roscoe SKB

I've been buying and selling guitars and basses for a few years trying to find my ideal axes. I'm getting close now. But one thing I know for sure: My SKB 5 string is absolutely the only electric bass guitar I'll ever need. I love the sound, the look, the action. Beautiful.

So since I intend to keep this one, I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can get a great flight case for it. I guess I could get a custom Calton case made for it. I have one for one of my "lifer" acoustic guitars. Any other options out there?

Thanks! Catfish

Interestingly enough, there is a case company called SKB. They make cases for all kinds of instruments: horns, keyboards etc. They make a bass case which is kind nice for travelling. It's a heavy duty plastic molded shell, with some foam padding inside, but it's made to take a regular gig bag for added protection. and when you get to your destination, you have your gig bag for local needs. The case has a couple of handles and wheels at one end. And it's nowhere as heavy as those metal bound "flightcases". I got an SKB case years ago, have used it multiple times, it's holding up great, and I've never had any instrument damage. Highly recommended.

I've had a few flight cases made and I always went with Anvil. Calzone also makes a great flight case.

Personally, I'd rather just take my bass on the flight with me in a nice gig bag (Mono, Incase, ....) but if the instrument has to ride in a transport bus, I'd definitely want it in a flight case.
