Exclamation Georgia Roscoe GTG

OK Roscoeheads! It's official!

Georgia Roscoehead GTG
2:00 PM - 7:00 PM March 20th 2010 at:

FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD 6040 WATSON BOULEVARD, WARNER ROBINS, GA 31093

The local TB'ers have volunteered to provide the food and beverages (since most of you will have travel expenses) so bring only yourselves, your basses and any other gear that you want to bring. We'll eat supper at around 5:00-5:30 PM)
Of course the GTG it open for all TB'er, regardless of whether you have a Roscoe.
And, after playing our awesome Roscoe's you'll want to buy one!

Let's get a head count so we know how many people to prepare for. You should be able to Google the location for directions (it's located just a few miles from I-75 exit #146).

PM me with any questions that you have. I'll PM all attendees my cell number.

Guys,

I sure wish I could make it. Unfortunately, the family's having a birthday party for a cousin and me and I'll be running between that and some studio time I have set up for that weekend. Have lots of fun, and take embarrassing photos of all the lucky attendees.

Dang Dave, That'd be a heckuva trek MN to GA for a GTG. You sound like me.

You all have a great time, and take lots of pics of everyone and their basses.
I wish I could join you all but It's not in the cards for me this time around. Maybe the next one though.. A word of advice, based on comments concerning another GTG at Agent 86's place last year. Don't let Gard Cook His Dangerous Chili Concoction.. I understand it was a gastric time bomb...

Shoot, I think I have a conflict. I made the one at Roscoe last Summer and met many of the usual suspects. Hmm. Wonder if I can rearrange things a little so I can make it?

Bummer that Jerry, Steve & David can't make it. I was hoping that you boys could pop in. I certainly understand though. Quite a haul from your neck of the woods.

It's going to be a blast guys! Grilling some big juicy burgers, great basses to play and you'll finally be able to meet in person some of the Roscoeheads/TB'ers that you've been conversing with via the TB threads.

We've got 7 TB'ers committed aleady.

Gard
LilRay
RocketMusic
BassWR
Leurastus
Jome77
Beardman

And several other locals that don't frequent TB

Let me know if the 12:00PM - 5:00PM time is good. We can still vary that to fit everyones needs.

Sorry you can't be there Steve.

Onto the bolded portion; Agent 86 is a Louisiana boy, and as a Texan it would be sacreliage to consume a "concoction" he would refer to as "chili".

Gumbo, Etouffee, Muffaletta, I'm down, but Chili is certified Texas.

Louisiana folk can't cook chili. You end up looking like this

God Bless, Ray

...Texans...

Son, any Cajun boy can outcook any Texan, anytime, on anything. It's in the DNA.

Not sayin' y'all can't cook, you can. You just can't cook like a Cajun, 'cuz you ain't one.

By the way, the chili concoction that Steve is blabbering about is Bump Chili, courtesy of one Greg Bump, aka RocketMusic, and it was indeed deadly, and delicious (heck, even guys from VA can cook chili that kills, Ray! ). My contribution to that experience was the MACARONI AND CHEESE OF DEATH, not chili. I will refrain from making it for this one, as it would require some serious cooking and I'm not gonna be set up for it this time.

Any NCers wanna carpool/caravan with Greg & I?

Hmmm, let's see. . . why would one of Roscoe's flagship dealers want to be present during drooling over Roscoes. . .

Nope, can't think of a single reason why.

Not after you two "anoint" the car post chili eating. . .

Actually, I would like to hear more about this. PM me with what time you'd be leaving the shop, etc. I'm happy to chip in gas $$$.

Of course if I bring out the Roscoe Signature herd, it's basically over for the rest of you clowns.

You hear that, LilRay? You might get to play some serious Roscoe beasties.

Oh, I'm just bringing my two personal Roscoes. I'm just pleased that I'll at least have a contender (or two) this time around.

In truth, I think I'm most excited to see Joe's fretless I bet that thing looks/sounds/feels amazing in person...

I di'n't say you cajuns can't cook, but "chili" was born in Texas and remains Texan through and through. We takes pride in our chili, like you cajuns do yer gumbo and these Georgians do them grits.

Texans cook bada$$ chili and Brisket BBQ, I haven't eaten any that I couldn't get better in Texas.

Not saying Bump chili ain't the bomb but I'd happily put my recipe up again' it. Chili powder alone can make or break the pot. I get mine direct from San Antone

I've made chili the way I like it and 9/10 times the folks round here cry because it's "too spicy".

Are you cats traveling 85 South? We might be able to "Convoy" there Rubber Duck. I'll be yer "Pigpen" if you fellas can roll with the hammer down

Are you tryin' to imply our buddy Greg might have ulterior motives rather than hangin' out with the cool TB crowd?

I'm up for it Bro!

Just don't go to when you can't coax such awesomeness from them as I could.

FOUR?!? Is that all? And you consider yourself a serious Roscoe head? Let's make it FIVE before the GTG, and then you'll have my utmost respect

Tempting.

Tell you what, bring 1/4 your inventory to the G2G and I'll show you how these are 'supposed' to be sold.

It would be nice to play the PD-3005 if she didn't fly out the door purchased upon arrival.

You better come Adam! I'm looking forward to seeing your new Roscoe's and maybe a chance to play ole' 5808 again! I could take a stroll down memory lane .....

You guys also need to grab Clint and bring him too. How could we have an official Roscoe gathering without our president present?!?
