I've read this older thread on Roscoe gigbags: Roscoe Gigbags?
My question is this: I have a decent RoadRunner gigbag that works fine with my EBMM SR5, but the LG3005 headstock angles back a bit, so that when I put the bass in the RoadRunner, the entire neck is unsupported and resting on the tip of the headstock- makes me very uncomfortable to see that... I also have a very cheap, Canadian made gigbag ("Voyageur") that has a nice padded neck rest with velcro straps, but that bag has minimal/no padding around the edges so it's not sufficient for the LG.
Short of trying to custom-build a padded neck rest into my RoadRunner, are there any decent gigbags that have built in neck supports, or alternatively do any of you have any advice specifcially for the LG? Are Reunion Blues bags supportive of the neck? I can't find any photos of the interiors.
Thanks,
Asher
Oh yeah... having followed this forum for a short while, here's some Roscoe porn for you fanatics: my LG3005, #5370

I don't think any of the gig bags (not even the inCase) provide much support specifically for the angled headstock. However, IMO, given the fact that Roscoe doesn't route out for a truss rod adjustment at the headstock & the fact that your bass also has the Volute, I wouldn't worry much about it.
Of course, I would never leave the gig bag (with the bass in it) in a location that is likely to allow someone to step on it or have something fall on it.
Personally, I like the inCase bag's. Nice compromise between typical gig bag and hard case.
Awesome looking Roscoe! You NEED to keep that one a while and give it a chance!

I have both the undercover double and the roscoe single gig bags. Mine SKB got knocked over in the double bag one time and suffered no damage. |

Should you find this is to your liking, I just happen to be a dealer for these fine cases |

Thanks guys. Perhaps I am just being a bit paranoid, and maybe should just use my RoadRunner... But that M80 bag looks dang nice... I will think it over today, RocketMusic.
And yes, I am indeed keeping this LG. It's really grown on me. |

I was just being paranoid. Thanks for all the advice! |

I'd be interested in seeing the double (as I often take two basses or more on gigs, and hate taking all those separate cases). |

Do they make a Dub bag? I couldn't find one on your web-site.
Thanks, |

Thanks, | I'm pretty sure they don't, but I could be wrong.
I owned one of these for a short while and liked the protection it offered the bass. It wasn't a keeper, though, because I really need a double.

So yes indeed, there is a double case from MONO for bass. I don't stock it yet, so it's not on my site (sorry!). But I'd be happy to get with you to order one. I can't get too crazy discounting the MONO stuff, there's just not much room on their stuff when I have them drop ship it straight to you. But I can do free shipping, which I'm pretty sure makes it a better deal to get it from me than straight from them. Let me know if you're interested! |

Let me move out these preamp's & I'll get with you and see what we can work out.
