Hey Crash,
do you have some new update to share? How you like the Dem?

I just got a note from Demeter that they got the stacked pot... looks like nest week I'll get the new preamp....

The volume was about 25% lower
The Mids were really scooped.
The Bass seemed more clean and not as heavy
The Treble is about 50% more, it was very bright
The Pickups had less noise (Noticed more so on DB359)

I played for about an hour and a half using a Fender Bassman 60 and an Aguilar DB359 through a Genz Benz 4-10.

I prefered the Series setup on my 3006, it seemed so much thicker so I switched my 3005 back to Series.

I can't wait to get down to Greensboro to try Pete's Bartolini Classics. I am thinking the Demeter coupled with the Classics could sound pretty awesome.

I now have demeters in both my 3006 and 3005. I like the sound much better, though the Demeter does not have the gain of the Bartolini I have been running my amp inut in passive mode and it sounds great! I pretty much run the eq flat and will occasionally roll the mids back.

I bought a Mark Bass II amp and MB 2-10 for two days, didn't like the way the Roscoes sounded through the amp. For me it had way to much mid that I couldn't dial out and gave the barts a more compressed sound. I ended up taking the it back to GC and pickuped up the heavy SVT4 pro. I really like this amp. I have run my bass through a Genz Benz, Fender Bassman, Aguilar DB359, SWR Super Redhead and The Mark Bass II and I think for me the Ampeg brings the tone out the best.

If you ever need a 50K stacked pot, Aguilar carries them for about $26. I am curious to how smooth yours will be with the 100K pot.

Thankfully it was just one week, damn!

BTW, the pot I ordered has a 4mm-6mm shaft dia. It needs specific knobs ( banzai has them) similar to warwick.

Anyway, still waiting...
