GRRR- 3006 strings......

OK, so I use D'Addario XL's.
Looks as if they don't make a set in the "super long" (for 35" scale).

I like the 5 string gauge- 45-65-80-100-130. Those I can get in the SL, but no .035 C string in SL.

So, might need to explore other options.
Like I said, the above gauge is perfect for me. just need to add a C string.

What is the stock gauge that comes on a 3006? Brand?

Since the C dosen't taper past the nut, shouldn't a regular one do, I have a regular .032 C on my SKB 3005.

Mike - I've posted a bunch of strings in my inventory here that are well suited to 35" scale basses.

Cheers,
Greg

Add the D'Addario single .032 XL string.

If you're looking for options, DR sets don't taper until WAY past the nut on the low strings, never had any trouble with them on my R's.

[Cough cough cough] Roscoe branded D'Adds. [/cough cough cough]

Sorry, had something caught in my throat there.

Not that anyone axed or anything, but if you want something a little brighter and just a wee-bit lower-mids happy than D'Adds (and that last, oh 3x as long)...that fit with ease on SKB's... Cleartone.

Been wanting a set of them, but they're proving tricky to find.

I've been completey happy with SIT's, though, incredibly long lasting.

...I heard a rumor...

...that Jerry was a Cleartone hooker...

...or was that a racecar driver?

The destination may be related to a certain beer filter used by our man in VerrGinyuh.

A hooker, a baker, or a candlestick maker?

Hey Jerry, You got any spandex?

God Bless, Ray

I only supply said filter. It's Rolling Rock who chooses to use it...

+1. And the same goes for every last one of us SOBs here on the forum (except, of course, for the Heidi Klum version of me).

No worries. I only rock the spandex for that Loverboy tribute band, and heck, we hardly ever get any gigs.

You'd better be thinking GA and not NC or there will be trouble!

(Cue scene: Gard's front door, early Sunday morning after a serious Saturday evening.)

Knock knock.

(Door opens)

"EVERYBODY'S WORKIN' FOR THE WEEKEND!"

(Gard passes out.)

Jerry: "Whoa. That didn't take long. Hey Bill, we still get paid, right? Travel fees are exactly $1 less than the spandex fees. Oh, BTW, thanks for letting me use your green Roscoebird bass. "
