'Heads: Aguilar GS112 owners please chime in

I may or may not have a good reason for inquiring. If you own & use such a cab, please reply. Thanks in advance.

I have the DB112's, not the same tonally, but I can assure that the construction is first rate, as is the customer service.

the cw is the DBs are mid present, by comparison the GS is scooped. I had a brief listen to both powered by an AG500 head, and have used various DB cabs in some backlines. I preferred the DB, but I like mids and really dislike anything close to scooped tone. That is relatively speaking though, and the DBs are known as being *very* mid focused.

I couldn't really see ditching Berg for Aggie though - at best a sideways move.

FYI. Not looking to ditch. I already went in the opposite direction. Am looking for GS112 owners. Could be worth the time.

I have 4 of them, Jerry. They're the best.

I'm using them with the EA i800 and the Ashdown Mag300. But they sound good with almost anything.

I thought you once owned GS112's or were they the DB's?

I love a mystery. I'm sure all will be explained at some point.

2 cents-

Owned one but now have a Berg HT112 which is superior IMHO.

Mission accomplished?

...let the mystery unfold.

Jerry had an extra padded cover for a GS112. He offered it to me, I jumped at it.

FWIW, we were discussing those very same cabs this morning (the HT112 and GS112). While they are both great, I actually prefer the Aggie to the Berg. The booty's bigger on the Aggie.

Never tried the Aggie but I love my Berg. Especially coupled to the Thunderfunk.

Good on you Jerry for passing on the cover.

Me too! Got a 550b that is so sweet with the Berg. When I was really struggling to find "the tone" a few years back, Joe suggested that combo and it really hit the spot.

Couldn't be happier!

Thumbs up

Great gesture paying it forward Jerry!
That's what I love about TB'ers. There's some great folks on this forum. Especially on the Roscoe & Roscket forums.

Though that would be a cool blues name "Roscoe B. Roscket".

The B stands for boogie o' course.

I totally agree Joe, the "forums R" are full of uber cool players and mighty fine folks

Thanks for your kindness Jerry!

God Bless, Ray
