Actually, thank you for being in a position to offer a more in-depth insight into this instrument then would of otherwise been possible given the 3000+ miles between it and I.
On that note (no pun intended) the stork will soon be delivering a new member of the family - 5907, purchased minutes ago (despite my wifes opinion ):

I loved everything about this instrument, but I just couldn't trust myself to play it in-tune. Sonically, it's a beast...the tight grain of the ash body, that nice & thick top, and the ebony board....just yum. And aesthetically...I know I've said this before, but I've never owned a more beautiful instrument. Not only is the top beyond gorgeous, but the ebony board makes it look even better.
Congratulations! I'm really happy for you and I hope you enjoy it. |

I was thinking, "No! Not good ole nice Jerry!"
Beautiful Roscoe! I do prefer driving on highways with lines though! ...of course I also rode bikes with training wheels for quite a while too! |

I love my fretless sixer. It's got a Spanish Cedar body, so it's a bit woodier and darker sounding; I love it and use it a lot. It sounds great on small combo blues and jazz stuff. Yours, with its ash body, will be better at cutting through a dense mix, which mine's not great at but I wouldn't give it up.
(It's the one on the right)
