Hey NC/VA (and anyone else) contingent!!!

...got an idea here just now...

The Super Bowl is coming up, and we have not had anything resembling a GTG in far too long....so:

I am offering my place up for a Roscoehead/Super Bowl Party.

I don't have a lot of furniture right now (which could be good!), but I have PLENTY of room for a bunch of bassists, their basses, and a few amps, and I have a 42" plasma screen HDTV for the game. There are four ( YES FOUR) full baths in the house, so there won't be any fighting for that either!

Anyone interested in making this a reality??? If I can get enough interest, I'll start working on vittles and libations, as well as getting some additional seating around the place. Also, I'll see if I can interest any of the crew in showing up as well...

...what say you all?

It's instances like this where it's a bummer living on the left coast.

Watching my Steelers on a plasma, with a Roscoe in-hand and good company to get me through the during tense moments...that'd be awesome! Here's hoping this happens, and that everyone takes pics!

That would be a blast and I'd be more than happy to attend but, I'll be watching the game with one of my Roscoe's in hand here in North County San Diego. I'll toss back a cold one for you all though.
The Steelers got this in the bag....

Ditto. Even though I don't know from football, this is one Superbowl party I regret missing.

Gard, that is an impressive gesture, opening your home to... people like us. Even if you do have four bathrooms. LOL! Seriously, that's really nice of you. Awesome, man.

But if I am on the east coast come the Superbowl, I'll be there! Rooting for both teams!

Sounds like a blast!

What an awesome example of good ole' southern hospitality!

I'm definitiely going to get over there to Greensboro in the not so distant future but my youngest daughter has already planned a big bash at her new house (w/46" HDTV)!

I'm pulling for Card's!

...and if they can't pull it off, Go Steelers!

I like Warner and Roethlisberger so it's a win-win situation for me!

You fellows have a great time! Make sure that you bring your Roscoe's and take and post lots of pic's!

I'm going to bring the best of my gear, and as a dealer you're bringing a 12 lb bass I can play at G***** Center?

Yeah, THAT Warwick is welcome in my home!

Greg, that's a beautiful bass, to say the least!

All are welcome, and I'll make sure to check Adam at the door for any nooses or shivs, ok?

I may be tentative on this one. At this point I am scheduled for an set of x-rays at 5:30am that Monday in prep for surgery on the 2/4. They are taking out the screws and doing some repair work to the cartilage and a frayed ligamint.

You used proper English in the first sentence, you don't frighten me a bit.

Now, if you'd typed "i kut u, fo! dig?"

...I'd be worried.

You sound like a proper British country gentleman trying to frighten me...not working...and now that you've done that, well, you're harmless...

Adam, it now sounds as if you're stuck bringing kidney pie and a pint of bitter.

I'm enjoying the barbs in this thread and only wish I could attend! Go Steelers...
