Question How Well do you Know me .........

How well do you know my taste in Roscoe's...

I've settled on the Roscoe 3006 that will replace my recently sold Roscoe 3005 fretless.
I'm kind of curious on how well you fellow Roscoeheads know my likes/dislikes of Roscoe's.

I'm purchasing a 3006 from Greg AKA "Rocketman" and it's one of the ones in the following thread:

Roscoe 6-String Shootout

See if your can guess which one that it is!

I don't you Joe as well as many others but I picked the Myrtle Prism Century, who knows; they are all great.

The "Yellow" SKB is identical (except for the 12 fret inlay) to mine.

Have fun!

For real Joe!!??

Dude, you are full of surprises!

I'll play this game! For one thing, we can rule out any 6-stringer with a maple board. We can also rule out any Aguilar or Audere preamp equipped 6er. So, I THINK it's going to be:

Myrtle Prism Century-3006
Body: Ash Back, Myrtle Top, Wenge Shim
Neck: Wenge Center w/ Wenge Fretboard
Electronics: Bart CB, Bart 3-Way/18V

OR

Vroom-Vroom Orange SKB-3006
Body: Ash Back, Figured Malpe Top
Neck: Wenge Wedge w/ Wenge Fretboard
Electronics: Roscoe Barts, Bart 3-Way/18V

How well do I know you Joe??

I guess I don't know you very well, as I've not a clue, and has assumed you were waiting out on a 3006 with J pickups.

So, I went for Vroom Vroom Orange.

I'm gonna hazard again't the Prisim one, because I believe that's in Canada now?

My grandfather had a saying:
"if you don't really know someone, assume his favourite colour is yellow."

So I voted yellow SKB.

The Vroom Vroom orange does sound good doesn't it Bill?

You could never pull this off There's two at Greg's shop you'd get and everybody knows 'em.

Oh and the Cobalt Blue SKB 6 is the one I'd choose for me. Ever since Greg sent me to his site, I've dug that one.

Surprised it's still there

God Bless, Ray

I picked right, not that I know Joe so well, it's just the one I would have picked. my only concern is the weight of that bass. The top wood is dense which means heavy. My back can't take more then a 9.5 lb instrument anymore. Poor 6004 (Blue) isn't getting any love. I should buy that orphan.

I don't know which one you're getting but if it was me, I'd get the Vroom Vroom Orange one.

+1 with the above. I also voted for the "Vroom Vroom Orange", because the sound sample from Rocket had a little extra sweetness, and also I think Joe has a soft spot for SKB's.
But, then again, the Ziracote is also an SKB, plus it has a cedar body, and we know how Joe feels about that. So, Joe, how long are you going to keep us in suspense? Not that this little game isn't fun, but...
The prism did get dragged out of the U.S.A. I'm sorry but I couldn't resist. A big thanks again to Gard, Rocket Music and Club Bass for making it possible. Someday, I'll get around to taking some pictures and I'll post a little blurb.
So for now, congrats Joe, can't wait to see which one you adopted.

Andre
