I Got One!!

Well, I wonder if this makes me the newest Roscoehead?! It'll be here today! In time for my NYE show!!

It's a SKB-3005 with a 5-piece body, Walnut core, Figured Walnut back, Maple laminates and Ebony Sapwood top, 34' scale neck w/ an Ebony Sapwood board, and Nordy DCs w/ an Aggie 3-band pre.

Can I get a #?

Thumbs up

Very cool looking!

I love the look of the blend of sap woods on the top and finger board! I believe that I remember seeing that one when it was being made. I didn't realize that it was 34" scale though.

.....and yes, I believe that you are the newest Roscoe!

Your number will be the S/N of your bass ............

You're really going to enjoy this New Years gig!

Good eye, they are in the 70's J bass locations (center of pickup). It definitely changes the overall character of the tone, less snarly in the mids to my ear (which isn't my cup of tea - Gard likes the snarly mids! ), and fairly even sounding overall. It doesn't sound LIKE a J bass, but it sounds like it sounds like a J bass, if that makes sense....

What a gorgeous bass! Congrats on a stunner, and one that I'd definitely love to hear....both for the electronics as well as the pickup placement.

I guess what I'm saying is that I'd like a bass that sounds like a J bass would sound if it weren't a J bass. Or something. Sorry, Gard - I'm on Nyquil too.
