I love the look of the blend of sap woods on the top and finger board! I believe that I remember seeing that one when it was being made. I didn't realize that it was 34" scale though.

It definitely changes the overall character of the tone, less snarly in the mids to my ear (which isn't my cup of tea - Gard likes the snarly mids!  ), and fairly even sounding overall. It doesn't sound LIKE a J bass, but it sounds like it sounds like a J bass, if that makes sense....
