I'm at work, typing this on my phone and I don't really have a bunch of time to do any searching. Here's my question: I recently had my SKB-3005 setup by a professional. It now plays wonderfully, BUT, I noticed at our show last nite that the sound is pretty "choked off". It has the Nordstrand p/u's and from reading previous post, I guess the magnets in those are pretty strong. Since the action is now WAY lower than it was, could the magnets in the p/u's be pulling on the strings too much? I'm in love with this bass, but I gotta fix this asap! Thanks!

All you have to do is lower the pickups until the notes stop dieing and warbling. |

You'll need to lower the p/u's until the issue is corrected. |

Sheesh, a dude gets a gig for the first time in a few months, and isn't here for a day, and look at what happens!!!
Yeah, that's the right answer, most likely, just back the pickups off a bit, and things will clear up.

Gard...let's hear about the gig! You know the important details to share, but when you get done talking about the lovelies, let's hear about what bass you used on the date. |

...I played my fretted Century Signature VI for most of the gig, played about 25% on the fretless. Amp-wise, Eden WT550 into an Epifani UL310II and an Eden D-210MBX (wedge monitor). Classic rock gig, nice club in Lake Norman, NC (just west of Charlotte). Pretty dead night, as the Panthers got their @$$ whupped that night in the playoffs, not many people came out to party afterward, and those that did were pretty much crying in their beers over the football game...
There wasn't too much eye candy either, a couple of girls were in early that were nice, especially one tall brunette...but she was with her boyfriend/husband...
