...as the GAS is nearly unbearable. I've heard the Roscoe name before, but had never taken a good look at the products.
As of last week, I had been considering trying my hand at building my own bass in the next year so that I could get exactly the wood combination, shape, and electronics I want. While I was discussing the carving up of my own bass with my instructor, he mentioned (jokingly) that we should get apprenticeships in Greensboro with Roscoe.
Roscoe?? Well, after taking a look at this forum and the Roscoe site...it's as if my dream bass is already a reality.
Just stunning basses. They go beyond what a luthier would consider beautiful...I believe artisans of all sorts would appreciate what I see. And this is just from photos, but the care and craftsmanship just shows through.
I'm hoping to get a chance to play one in the very near future, and if they play as half as nice as they look..I'll be determined to get myself a SKB3005. It'll just take some time to decide on what to order as the wood combinations are more varied than I would have ever come up with on my own.
Anyways, just had to blather a bit.
