I'll Be Back!!

Well, this is a bittersweet moment. I did all that wheelin' & dealin' to end up with a Roscoe, Then I had to "liquidate" some of my stable and, unfortunately, my SKB-3005 was the only one that was determined to be "semi-redundant"...It basically did the same thing as my MTD(although the Roscoe was a tiny bit fuller sounding and prettier! ). So, it was with a heavy heart that I sent my Roscoe to a better home...! I'm not gonna say goodbye or I'll miss you guys, because I'll still be around. Please don't kick me out of the club, just put my membership "on hold" until I get back with an SKB-3006!

Hello. Yes, coconuts do migrate... and so do bass guitars! Not to worry. We have all done it with one special bass or another (or 20.) And I think I've noticed other people settling on their MTD as their main workhorse, and letting go other basses first.

Good luck with the liquidation and your eventual return to Roscoe.

Regards,

Snaxster

No problem we all understand. I've been there once (Roscoeless for 3 months in the last 15 years). It's a sad time but the guys in the Roscoe forum will help you get through it and after the Prozac takes effect you'll order another Roscoe!

We still like you!

ditto for me here. I am sad to be giving up my baby, but I know that my Roscoe-lessness is a temporary thing, just a phase These basses are too good for me to stay away for too long, I've been jonesing for a good LG5 since the day I got my century!

Pbass- May we both be back in the club before too long-

I am glad that I haven't had to go Roscoeless since I got my first one a couple years ago.

I have an LG2000 I bought that has a broken truss rod, I just couldn't bear the thought of it being trashed because it has a beautiful Spalted Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard. It is hanging on my wall. I have thought about taking it to Hanson & Crawford to see if they can route the back of the neck and install a new truss rod. It wouldn't bother me if it had a skunk stripe up the back like the Fenders.
