...unfortunately, it isn't the ONLY Roscoe with a Red Mallee burl top, there is one other...

That's one that Adrian Garcia spec'd out a few years ago.
Very sweet looking bass! Got to love that purpleheart sapwood finger board!
It deserves a nice home!
P.S. even more reason for us to get together some time! |

The finish has such a high gloss, it looks like it's still wet!

P.S. even more reason for us to get together some time! | ACTUALLY, this is one I spec'd out a few years ago. Freddy and I have PM'd a lot about this bass, and I even have all the original work in progress pics, including the fingerboards I chose from, etc. The short version of the story is, I flipped it fairly early on in it's life, but it was one of the most painful flips I ever made, and to this day, I still miss that bass.
The red malle is EXTREMELY rare, and typically VERY expensive. Keith just happened to get a good deal on a chunk, and since I Adrian hooked me up early in the game, I got first choice of all the tops cut from the billet. It was noticeably nicer than the others as well.
I believe there were only 3 basses made, and I think the other two were LG's, so this would be the ONLY SKB made with this rare wood. Further, noting the special deal he got and the typical price for this wood, I seriously doubt he'll make another any time soon. This is a SUPER RARE bass and always will be.
Spanish cedar body, SELECTED neck wood, as well.

Vic, next time I custom order a bass I should look you up, buddy. You certainly have great tastes in wood choices. Thanks again for the work in progress pics.
I couldn't be more happy with this bass.

The red Roscoe was a special deal too... remember that was "givin' back"... not a normal sale. TB hooks me up in a big way, and every once in a while, I "pay it forward". |

I remember feeling like I was greedy for wanting to jump on that deal, because I already had one and that was the perfect price for someone to get their first taste of high-end gear. Quote:
