I'm an idiot!

I almost sold my LG3000!!! In a moment of "nesting" frenzy (we've got a new bundle of joy on the way in May), I put my abosultely amazing LG3000 up for sale because I needed to considerably reduce the amount of gear in the house; my music room is being converted to the new nursery. What was I thinking! I've got a bass that's one of the most playable basses I've ever owned, that has monster tone, that is the lightest bass I've ever owned, and that is an absolute work of art. On top of all that, I picked out the top (with some help) and fingerboard wood because the company that made it is only an hr. away and has unbelievable customer service (we all know how awesome Gard is)!!! Luckily, I came to my senses; the for sale thread has been deleted. I think I'll be able to find space for my Roscoe in the small corner of the bonus room where my bass gear will now reside. Please forgive me for my moment of stupidity . I'm still a Roscoe head!

Lucky for you you came to your senses before letting it go.

I, on the other hand, have made the mistake of actually letting a couple go that I should still have.

Thumbs up

Glad you realized it before it sold!

That's an absolutely beautiful bass too. I'm glad you can keep it. Take it from someone that's sold a few basses for short term financial reasons, the cash raised rarely makes a difference long term!

Go ahead and set that bass in a guitar stand, take in a good bowl game and admire that Roscoe in between plays and during commercials!

Ben, I'm glad you came to your senses! That bass is a special one, you definitely need to keep it if at all possible!

Hello, Ben. Though I won't disagree with what everyone else has said so far (that I'm glad you kept your LG, etc.), I feel compelled to say this too:

If you needed to give up your beautiful bass to help your family, no-one would fault you or consider you any less a Roscoehead, I am sure.

Now that's said... Have a lovely baby! You will be able to serenade him or her with your LG-3000, which is something most parents can't offer their kids.

Regards,

Snaxster

Yeah, Ben is lucky that my wife and I have to write a $25,000 check to buy into the company we work for, otherwise it would have been gone day one. I did my best to talk my wife into it, but she stood her ground. Wow, I think this is the second time in 23 years my wife has said a non-negotiable no. I deem myself a lucky man!
