DITTO!!! Wow! I can appreciate the torment the decision to part with this must of been - But, I'm glad you did...

So, it arrived yesterday afternoon (a day early) - I of course immediately unpacked it and plugged it in - remarkable, it feels and plays very much like my fretted Roscoe so it was completely familiar immediately... I played it for about 5 mins then jumped in my car and took a swing by one of the studios where I do a lot of work to see if I could plug in and have a listen.

We plugged it in, turned the volume up, and I believe the engineers quote was "well s$&t, we don't need to touch that, that's perfect". Now I'm all wired up so they decide to put me to work, "Well since your plugged in and that thing sounds perfect, why don't ya sketch an idea on this scratch track. This is the guy your starting on next week anyway"... LOL!!! Well, what the heck, what better way to get acquainted with the new axe (and artist) then jump in the fire.....

With that, here's a ~1min snippet of a tune (scratch tracks) with 5907.... Just a rough idea...

diamondscratchclip.mp3

I love this thing, it's beautiful, it sounds great, it feels like my other axe, and, adds a whole other dimension to be able to express myself with.... What can I say!!

If I HAD to make a critique - and this is so small, negligible, and from my perspective completely irrelevant - from a design perspective, I think I'd of wrapped that beautiful top around the edges a little more so the ash was back a bit more. But again, I'm personally not one that cares about look, I want function... Heck, I own a blue bass and I absolutely hate the color blue, but, I didn't get it to look at... This one is a keeper for sure....

Just outstanding. I'm VERY glad to hear you're happy with it....and that it went to a great home. (I know some folks don't believe in the whole karma thing, but I'm a subscriber.)

It sounds incredible on that recording. Great playing and flawless intonation. In a couple of spots you made me think of Palladino on 'New York Minute'...very, very nice.

Funny you say that, as I told you, I was in the market albeit not necessarily ready to move as quickly as I did on this - but, the way the entire thing went down and crossed my path just totally spoke to me on a higher plane; i.e. it was just meant to be... This was totally the sound I was hearing for this upcoming project, I'm so glad I did not have to ignore that and have a voice for it now.

Peace!
