Saaaaaaweeeeet! It reminds me of the ocean--that color is spectacular.

Oh, and welcome aboard.

Thumbs up Stunning

The neck and topwood look awesome together. If I had that bass I would miss a lot of practice time from just staring at it- lol. What are the woods in this baby?

I think body cap & headstock are flamed maple & the fingerboard is spalted maple (which is a lovely honeyed colour).

Not sure about the rest of it I'm afraid!

Some pics of the rear:

I can't find a serial # anywhere?

Nothing on the back of the headstock & nothing obvious in the control cavity?

It's been said already, but the combination of the top wood & finish and the fingerboard is absolutely STUNNING! Congratulations...

Just spotted that it's featured in the little flash movie on the Roscoe home page too

Yeah, I thought it looked kind of cool so I put it in the rotation of Roscoe basses on the homepage.

Gigged the SKB for the first time tonight. Was going to use my 'benchmark' Sadowsky but the little mean green machine was calling out to me

Ran it through a MarkBass 121 Mini combo with a Traveller 1x15 extension cab.

Got a surprising number of comments about how pretty she looked, all from non-musician audience people!

Sound on stage was great as well and I found myself playing a few little frills that I've only ever managed to stumble over on other basses - a good night all round

Thumbs up

Awesome looking top Molan! I'm typically not crazy about tinted woods but that looks great!
The finger board looks cool too. I see where where it's splated maple but it sure looks a lot like African tulipwod.

Congratulations!

Gard thought it was:

"Figured Maple top, Spanish Cedar back, Aqua finish, Maple fingerboard"

.......and Gard "Knows" Finger boards!

I'm sure that it is maple....but it still resembles African tulipwood.

I'm afraid my baby is off to a new home already - sorry folks but I seem to have the 5 string bug and a friend offered me his very nice MTD 535 in exchange

Not as 'pretty' of course but sounds lovely nevertheless and more suited to what I need at the moment
